Travel blog vs Travel vlog

I'm hoping you're doing well. I would like to speak about travel blogs. Travel books are used for travel. There is a travel blogs. About two years ago, I started a travel diary. I was so excited to share my adventures with my friends and family. I hope you enjoyed it as well! A friend encouraged me to start vlogging and that's how the inspiration for my website came from. Travel diaries vs. travel websites. I've been thinking a lot about travel vlogs, and here's what I was thinking about.

TRAVEL BLOGS

As you probably already know, I am a huge fan of travel blogs. It wasn't the case when I first started writing about things. It is not just about hopping online and sharing your thoughts and adventures, but there is much more to it than that.

Pros –

I am happy that you have continued to write. The community you get to know is one of the best things about writing about something. You are able to join a few or start your own. I joined several of them and started one of my own. I've learned a lot from the incredible people that I've met. Without their encouragement and support, I wouldn't have been able to do it. I enjoy writing about the places I visit and the people I meet. Life with Larissa allows me to engage with others who enjoy travelling as well, and that's something I love doing.

Cons –

You will be sadly mistaken if you think that it is as simple as 1, 2, and 3. Depending on your goal, it can take a lot of time, effort, and even money. There is so much learning to do when it comes to various hosting sites, self-hosting, monetizing, social media, and so much more. It can be very overwhelming very quickly. It is a challenge for me to be consistent in my postings. I don't want to mess up my schedule, but sometimes I feel like I don't have enough to write a complete post.

Overall –

Life with Larissa is still up and running, but the pros outweigh the negatives for me. There are times when I need to take a break and I will take a week or two to think about it.

TRAVEL VLOGS:

If you don't know what a video diary is, it is called a video diary. Before you go on a trip or vacation, think about the travel videos you watch on the internet. It is most likely that those are vlogs. I started my own channel because I wanted to make videos on the internet. I kind of fell off the wagon after I started off strong. I am not sure if I want to take that back up or not. I would love to hear what you think about what I should do.

 Pros –

There are a lot of pros to watching vlogging. It is a different way of showing off your travels. Individuals watching your videos will be able to see what you are talking about, and they may even feel like they are on the trip with you. It is a great way to look back on your previous trips and see what you did. I enjoy going back to see how much fun my family and I had on the Carnival cruise a few years back. I like reminiscing on the good times with my friends, and pulling up my Europe videos.

 Cons –

The challenges with vlogging are the same as with everything. If you are like me, you would prefer to be behind the camera rather than in front of it. There will be times when you will have to make an appearance in front of the camera, when you commit to the vlogger lifestyle. I always feel awkward in front of the camera, but especially if I am alone and I am talking to a camera in public. It can be quite time consuming to pull all your materials together. It's important to figure out which videos and pictures you want to include, as well as which music to include, and also to make sure the collection isn't too long.

 Overall –

I don't know what to think about this one. I like to look back on my videos throughout the year, and I enjoy when people let me know that my videos helped them make a travel decision. I think once I get over my self-consciousness and camera shyness, I will be more on board with travel vlogging more consistently!

 TRAVEL BLOGS VS. TRAVEL VLOGS:

You can see that both vlogs and blogs offer their own unique characteristics. One is not necessarily better than the other, but it is just a matter of preference. Which one do you prefer, a travel journal or a travel video diary? Don't allow me to limit you. Why is that your preference? I would appreciate it if you let me know in the comments. I would love to hear what you have to say.
